Orienteering Surprise In Waikato

There was an upset in the orienteering senior race held at Mangakino Dam yesterday when K. Litten, W. Scott and M. Scott (Pinelands) pushed the national representative A. Nicholls (Bay of Plenty) back to fourth place.

Apart from the approaches to the first three controls, which were infested with blackberry patches, the course was exceptionally good running, but the wind was cool.
